Strategy games on the PC are probably my favourite type of games and recently I decided to buy Company of Heroes from Steam without knowing much about it.
Within a few hours of playing it I became engrossed in the game and because it’s a strategy game based on World War 2 I couldn’t really ask for much more. The controls are simple so I had no need to try and figure out how things worked or any need to read through the manual which I don’t tend to do for any game.
Company of Heroes has DLC but the main game is based on the invasion of Normandy. So far I’ve played through 13 missions and it has taken me at least 1 hour to complete each one. I’m one of these players that doesn’t like to rush through strategy games, in fact I’d spend the majority of my time setting up my base and soldiers before even thinking about taking on the enemy.
I still haven’t completed the main campaign and I’m not sure how many missions there actually are but hopefully I’ll get a few more hours out of this one. Once I do complete the main game I’ll be moving onto the DLC.
Company of Heroes is available from Steam currently priced at £6.99
