“Carmageddon: Reincarnation” Hell Yeah!

I couldn’t believe it when I read the news about one of my old favourite games is making a comeback, Carmageddon. The new game will be called Carmageddon: Reincarnation.

Carmageddon Reincarnation

Released in 1997 the Carmageddon series was about racing but with total carnage. I actually played it for the carnage rather than the racing. Some maps were huge and the game was considered to be one of the first examples of open sandbox but to stay in the race you had to keep increasing your time limit.

Mowing down pedestrians in the craziest way could clock a lot of points but when spotted by the police things would get a lot more difficult. Due to the violence though it was censored in a lot of countries including the U.K.

If you’ve never heard of Carmageddon before you’re probably thinking how is it different from any other racing smasher. The answer to this is that it was just pure chaos and loads of fun.

Here’s a video with the original Carmageddon

Carmageddon: Reincarnation is due for release in early 2013. I’m looking forward to this one and hopefully the developers won’t change the game too much as there was nothing wrong with the original.

I hope that when released here we don’t have to patch it so that the pedestrians are bloody filled humans rather than green gooey zombies. This and S.C.A.R.A.B. were the first games I had on PC (but this one kept crashing at the most inappropriate times).

    2. There was racing in that game? Never noticed! 😉

Yeah Dave I remember that old zombie mode lol

Donncha the racing came after everything else. Murder spree first, bumper cars second and if you survived that then you race lol
