Dear Esther

I’ve finally got round to playing and completing Dear Esther and I really enjoyed it from start to finish.

Dear Esther

When I first watched the trailer for Dear Esther I was immediately hooked even if I had no idea what the game was about. I was stunned at how well the game looked and also how the soundtrack was somewhat eerie if that’s the best way to describe it.

Is Dear Esther worth buying?
I really enjoyed Dear Eshter and would recommend it but before you rush out to buy this you should be warned this is more of a visual novel than an actual game. It’s not the sort that has you interacting with characters or objects as it’s simply you walking around an island with a story unfolding as you explore.

I completed Dear Eshter in approximately 1 hour but soon discovered that I hadn’t explored most of the island so I missed a lot in terms of the story that was being told. Also from what I gather the story is different each time you play it so I guess I’ll be playing this again.
