I’ve finally completed SAW and got 100% achievements. Not a game I’d thought I would like but this actually turned out to be really good.
I can’t say that I’m a fan of the movie SAW but Cerebus08 who is a fan convinced me to try the game. Our taste in games is different so I was a bit sceptical in trying it.
As I knew this was a horror/thriller game I decided to play it late at night with all lights switched off and my Tritton AX Pro’s hooked up. Damn but this game is perfect for playing like that, it’s creepy and the audio is excellent throughout.
The game is set in an old derelict building that has been rigged by a freaky looking character named Jigsaw. Other people are in the building also trapped but they have a connection with your character’s story. As you progress through the building you’ll end up either trying to save someone from a trap, which is done by solving a puzzle, or you need to fight them off either using your fists or one of the many makeshift weapons found in various places.
There isn’t many fight scenes in the game and the ones that you do come across are not really difficult. The traps & puzzles are the main attraction of this game so a lot of time is spent trying to figure out how to beat the clock and stop these traps from activating, be prepared for some really gory deaths.
After completing SAW I can honestly say that I don’t have one bad thing to say about it. Although I do think it would have good if some DLC levels had been released for this, unless there has been.
Achievements for SAW
If you are an achievement hunter then you’ll like this game. 100% achievement completion can be done in a single play through and the overall story line is not long at all.
Now that I’ve completed SAW 100% I have moved onto SAW II
